Find your perfect wood species.
From the classic warmth of red oak to the understated luxury of walnut, we install the full range of hardwood species. Not sure which to choose? We'll bring samples to your home.
White Oak
Light to mediumThe most popular choice in the Philadelphia area. Consistent grain, neutral undertones, and exceptional durability make white oak a timeless foundation for any home.
Walnut
Dark, rich brownThe luxury choice. Deep chocolate tones and dramatic natural grain make walnut flooring a statement in any room — especially stunning in dining rooms and studies.
Red Oak
Warm amberThe classic American hardwood. Warm pink-red undertones and strong grain patterns give red oak character and warmth that feels genuinely at home in traditional and transitional interiors.
Maple
Pale creamExceptionally smooth with a very subtle grain. Maple creates bright, open-feeling spaces and is one of the hardest domestic species, making it ideal for busy families.
Hickory
High-contrast mixNature's boldest hardwood. Dramatic color variation from pale cream to deep brown within the same plank creates a distinctly rustic, one-of-a-kind floor.
Exotic Species
Custom optionsBrazilian cherry, tigerwood, teak, and more. If you're looking for something truly uncommon, we source premium exotic hardwoods and work with you to create a one-of-a-kind floor.
Custom stain and color matching available. Already have hardwood elsewhere in your home? We'll match the stain precisely so your new floors flow seamlessly with the existing ones.

“Chris and his team did an AWESOME job for us. They came in while we were on vacation and knocked out taking our old 2" oak plank up and laying down a beautiful 4" walnut plank. Not only was Chris and his team very courteous, they put back furniture in place. Looked like no one was ever here! Definitely recommend them for your next flooring project.”

Will my new hardwood floors squeak?
Squeaking is almost always a subfloor issue, not a hardwood issue. That's why proper subfloor preparation is the most important step in any installation. We inspect, level, and secure your subfloor before laying a single plank. When the foundation is right, squeaks simply don't happen. If you're replacing old floors that squeaked, we address the cause — not just the symptom.
Can hardwood be installed over my existing floors?
In many cases, yes — but it depends on what's currently there and the height differential throughout your home. We can install hardwood over certain types of existing flooring if the subfloor beneath is solid and level. During your free estimate, Christopher will assess your specific situation and recommend the best approach, whether that's installing over or removing the existing floor first.
How long does hardwood installation take?
A typical hardwood installation takes 2 to 5 days depending on the square footage, species chosen, and any subfloor work needed. Solid hardwood also requires acclimation time — the wood needs to sit in your home for 3 to 5 days before installation so it adjusts to your home's humidity. We'll give you a precise timeline during your estimate and stick to it.
Should I choose solid or engineered hardwood?
Both are real hardwood — the difference is construction. Solid hardwood is a single piece of wood and can be sanded and refinished many times over decades. Engineered hardwood has a real wood veneer over a plywood core, making it more dimensionally stable in humid environments like basements or over radiant heat. For most rooms in the Philadelphia area, solid hardwood is the longer-lasting choice. We'll walk you through the pros and cons for your specific home.
What wood species do you recommend for high-traffic areas?
Maple and white oak are excellent choices for high-traffic areas because of their hardness and density. Maple is the hardest domestic species we commonly install — it holds up beautifully in busy kitchens and hallways. White oak is only slightly softer but offers much more versatility in stain colors. We don't recommend softer species like pine or cherry for heavily trafficked spaces unless the aesthetic is worth the trade-off.
Why does GREENGUARD certification matter?
GREENGUARD certified products have been independently tested and verified to have low chemical emissions. This matters because flooring adhesives, stains, and finish coatings can off-gas VOCs (volatile organic compounds) that affect indoor air quality — especially important if you have children, pets, or anyone with respiratory sensitivities. We use GREENGUARD certified products on every project as a standard, not an upgrade.
Can you match my existing hardwood floors?
Yes. Custom color matching is one of our most-requested services, especially when homeowners are adding a room addition or refinishing part of a floor. We bring stain samples and test them on your actual wood until we achieve the right match. Our 20+ years of experience with different species and stain chemistries gives us a significant advantage when it comes to accurate color matching.
